Friends Hospital Older Adult services
David Miller, M.D., has been appointed Chief of Older Adult Services at Friends Hospital. Miller will provide clinical direction and medical oversight to the inpatient geriatric service.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and SUNY-Stony Brook School of Medicine, Miller also holds a masters’ degree in social gerontology. Voted one of the Best Docs of Philadelphia in geriatric psychiatry (Philadelphia Magazine, 1996), Miller is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology with additional qualifications in Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a Fellow of the University of Pennsylvania’s Institute on Aging, and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. In addition to numerous publications in his field, Miller has received several awards for clinical and teaching excellence. He has served as director of the ECT service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and most recently he served as Director of Geriatric Psychiatry for the Carrier Clinic in New Jersey.
